Hour Of Code

Dear Wilmington Families,

This year Wilmington Public Elementary Schools are joining millions of students all over the world for an Hour of Code during Computer Science Education Week, December 8-14.  During a computer lab session that week, all of our classes will participate in a one-hour (or nearly one hour) activity where students will work on a self-guided tutorial that introduces Computer Science in a fun way.

We are inviting families to participate in the fun! Please join us for an Hour of Code evening event at the Shawsheen School on Wednesday, December 10th, or the Woburn Street School on Thursday, December 11th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to work together on coding activities. Each student may invite one guest and the pair must bring a device with wireless internet access (laptops and tablets work best). An instructor will explain the Hour of Code and guide the group through the activity. Read more about Hour of Code at www.code.org.
