Historically, the Shawsheen Elementary School has hosted an
orientation for parents of incoming first grade students to provide you with
some information about the school, your child’s schedule, and answers to questions
that I am sure many of you have, especially if your child is new to our school
system. We have decided to conduct the orientation before the end of the school
year, rather than during the summer, since so many parents are away on vacation
during the summer months.
Therefore, you are cordially invited to attend the
orientation on Wednesday, May 22nd 2019, from 5:30 to 6:30
p.m. The program will take place in
the Shawsheen Elementary School cafeteria.
I am asking that only parents attend this event since it will include a
presentation of information pertinent to parents as well as a time for
questions and answers. The children will have an opportunity to visit the
Shawsheen for Move-up Day on the morning of May 22nd. In the fall you will have another opportunity
to view the school at Parent/Teacher Orientation and your child’s classroom.
